Do you ever feel judged for how you wear your hair? If so, by whom?
“I did when I first started to wear my hair natural but now I feel as though people are looking in admiration. It is a lot more common and accepted especially living in New York city. If I went back home to Virginia Beach, Virginia, my mother would try to get me to a hair salon as soon as possible.”
In three words, how do you define being a black female?
“Determined, tenacious and beautiful”
